Summer camp is going really well
Saturday is everyones Birthday on camp, click back tomorrow to see who was invited to the party.
Its now Monday 1st August and everyones enjoying the warm weather and getting on with Camp, weve had the odd bite and sting but no problems. All Green Beret and potentials are out on Exercise at the moment, all black beret cadets have been on the ten miler and all are back safe and well.
Thursday sees the first lot of rain we have had and guess what ? the cadets had a night exercise, it hasnt detered any of them though as the saying goes " if it aint raining it aint training", besides we are all off to the swimming pool soon. And the rain is due to stop early evening, we hope
Today, Friday is test day, this morning at 09.15hrs the Black beret cadets left for the 4 miler, check back to see if they made it
All cadets passed the 4 mile run this morning, video of this and a shortend video of camp will be shown in October at our annual awards evening.
Black Beret cadets have to pass the rope crawl test and this afternoon all black beret cadets did pass. Every one is just having a late lunch before the next tests are done on Friday
Today is parents and honoured guest day, this is a unique day for parents to come down to the camp site and see what thier little soldiers have been up to all week, with displays and a chance to have a go at the rifle range. There is a field kitchen with beef burgers and side salad as well as light refreshments. For a location there is a map on the live link.
